Meet Brittany: Your Partner in Healing and Holistic Wellness

Brittany is an independently licensed clinical social worker serving Baltimore, MD, and the greater Washington Metropolitan area (DMV). With over a decade of experience in diverse social work roles, she has found her true calling as a mental health therapist, dedicating her life to supporting Black women on their unique journeys toward healing and wholeness.

At Healing Hues, Brittany blends clinical expertise with compassion and cultural humility, specializing in anxiety, toxic stress, trauma, and couples counseling. Her approach is deeply personalized, meeting clients exactly where they are in their healing process. Brittany believes that while two people may share similar experiences, their paths to healing are uniquely their own. She integrates evidence-based therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples, often incorporating spiritual principles and somatic practices like the Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method.

Brittany’s work is guided by her commitment to holistic care, helping clients connect their somatic experiences, spiritual foundations, and emotional barriers to address root traumas and foster profound transformation. Her mission is to provide a safe, empowering space where clients feel seen, supported, and capable of thriving.

Beyond the therapy room, Brittany channels her passion for mindfulness and movement into her virtual yoga studio, VIBEZ Yoga. First hand, in her personal yoga journey, Brittany experienced the power of movement and mindfulness over emotional barriers and sought to help others gain that same strength. Inspired by her personal yoga journey and the healing power of mindfulness, she uses movement, breath work, and Trauma-Conscious Yoga techniques to help clients build resilience and navigate life’s challenges.

Brittany also brings an academic and policy-oriented lens to her practice as a doctoral student at the University of Southern California’s Social Work program. Her research focuses on addressing health inequities for Black women and designing upstream solutions for systemic change. This dual perspective allows her to approach healing not only at the individual level but also through broader advocacy for social justice.

When Brittany isn't guiding clients toward healing in session via Healing Hues or on the mat via VIBEZ Yoga, she's attending classes and conferences to implement the most innovative practices to address her clients' needs. She brings relatability, dependability, knowledge, and a whole lot of passion to her work. A common theme in her personal life and professional practice is knowing the importance of pouring from a full cup versus an empty one. Therefore, when Brittany isn’t pouring into others, she’s spending time with her amazing son, riding her bike with her mom, being pampered at her sister’s esthetic studio, traveling with friends, worshipping with church family, or eating good food, solo. No matter the atmosphere, she is always mindful of creating a safe space and holding space for healing: Ready, set, breathe.
